Ottawa, December 8, 2006: Members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 877 homes in November through the Board's Multiple Listing Service® system compared with 906 in November 2005. There were 1,011 sales in October 2006.

Ottawa Real Estate Board Sales for May 2006

Members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 1,667 homes in May.  This compares to the 1,554 homes sold in May of 2005 for an increase of 8 percent.

The average prices of homes sold through the board was $259,140, which is an increase of almost 5 percent over last year's figures.  While the number of homes sold in the area is higher the inventory of available properties is also high giving excellent choices to buyers.

Ottawa Real Estate Board Sales for April 2006

Spring Market is Full Bloom!

So says the Ottawa Real Estate Board about the month of April, 2006.  According to the board, members of the Ottawa Real Estate Board sold 1446 residential units in April 2001, compared with 1420 in April 2005.  Of the 1446 units, 270 were condominiums, and increase of 8% over last April.

The demand for homes has remained strong.  The average price of residential properties, including condominiums, sold in April in the Ottawa area was $260,881.  That's an increase of six percent over April 2005.
